Further testing on some R&D have came back with a successful solution to extend the range of the Eagle Target Cam. This simple WiFi reapter and directional antenna is very compact and easy to use. 1.)Turn it on wait 1 min 20 sec 2.) Aim antenna down range to the Camera 3.) Connect to the WiFi base station Benefits seen have been smoother connection with slightly less lag and the ability to freely roam your device with the need to face it down range. So far connection has been tested at 1200 yards with possible ability to go further. We are working on putting together an all in one package. Stay tuned!

Them going to be hot cakes
Time available?
This Cam system is Cool, THANKS DPG for making a target camera that people can afford . Can"t Wait to buy it, and set it up.
WOW that's well over a mile. Impressive, Can't wait till mine gets here
Yup. Nice little package. Let us know how yours performs.....!
This morning I was able to maintain link from camera to repeater (Base Station) out to 2022 yards. Line of sight, of course..
That being said, it was after I connected my phone's wifi to the camera, then to the repeater, while still close to the camera. I then drove away to 2022 yds. It does seem that if the link is lost between units, re-link is iffy at the longer distances. What that distance is I don't know at this point.
I wonder if we were to use a directional antenna (like the ALFA on the base,) on the camera, would it maintain the link better at longer ranges..? Kenny?? What say you..?
Now that I can see at those distances, I just need to learn to shoot at those distances.......Love the zoom ability!
A yaggi 18 dbi at the base station will get further and maintain link at those distances. The caveat, FCC compliance for transmission power will be above range (if the check) and yaggi's have a narrower aim. I have tested with a yaggi with good results
If possible refrain from connecting to the camera itself and let the base station do it's thing. This will mitigate confusion on the camera's protocol and cause link issues
