Yesterday was the first day taking out the newly converted Savage 110 Rifle

First 10 shots went down pipe with Handloads using ADG brass, H4350 powder and very very old 175gr sierra spitzer boat tails (Today's Sierra Game King). Velocities out the gate where just under 2900 FPS. Powder charge seemed mild, Hornady 10th edition list max charge with H4350 at 53.4gr.
Rifle:
Savage 110 Tactical Converted from 6.5 Creedmoor to 7mm SAUM
Preferred Barrel Blanks 27" Medium Palma 1-8 Twist 5R Chromoly
Preferred Barrel Blanks Big Bore brake
Bedded and modified Factory Savage Stock
SWFA 16x SS Scope

Best group was the last 3 shots @ 54.2gr. Like most stick extruded powder, performance seems to come together when the powder capacity is near compressed. Overall I'm very impressed with the outright performance of this barrel from Preferred Barrel Blanks. I think this rifle is going to be a shooter!
Great job my friend I now it won’t belong and you will have all five rounds threw one hole really soon
I don't have any experience with the saum but I like the 162gr ELDX in my 7mag. You're already running about the same velocity as my 26 inch barrel. Yours seems is pushing the 175 pretty fast. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do.
Awesome! That's a neat cartridge and I think you're going to do great things at long range with it. Excellent work!
@sixshootertexan . This was at 100 Yards. Now that I got some fireformed brass Itll definitely tighten up
@Willie Bulletman thanks Willie!
Great group
Looking good Kenny. What was the target distance?
That’s an awesome start Kenny. I think you’re gonna like 7mm. One of my favorite calibers👍🏻. Now you just need a 7-08 and you can help me with mine lol😬
